Chalk up yet another PR for our burgeoning Reebok CrossFit Enduro community: largest team WOD, this one with a staggering 91 athletes!
We were honoured to host CrossFit For Hope, our latest fundraiser event, on Saturday, 28 September 2013, and we would like to thank all our members and friends who supported the event in one way or another to benefit the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

CrossFit For Hope was yet another beautiful demonstration that a dedicated group of people like our CrossFit family can make a big difference when we put our minds to it. This applies, first and foremost, to the gritty efforts that all 91 athletes put in for the WOD: a Fight Gone Bad-style circuit consisting of one-minute AMRAPs of thrusters, box jumps, power snatches, burpees and chest-to-bar pull-ups, for a total of three rounds. We salute you for fighting through the pain and squeezing out those extra few reps deep into the 17-minute WOD!

More importantly, we salute you for being generous with your time and energy in doing your part for this worthy cause. We are grateful not just to all our members, but also to our friends at CrossFit Hub who showed up and to the CrossFit “newbies” who got a taste of our great sport. Special thanks go out as well to BSN, who generously sponsored a shaker bottle and Mass Stack trial kit to every athlete present.

Between the sales of the limited edition “Three, Two, One, Go” T-shirts, proceeds from the mouth-watering paleo goodies on sale and extra donations that poured in well after the event was over, we raised a total of $7,556.

This wouldn’t have been possible without each and every single one of you. We appreciate those of you who spent time in your kitchens baking desserts for the bake sale. We’d also like to thank those who recruited friends and family members to sponsor you for each rep you recorded. And really, to all of you who took the time to participate in CrossFit For Hope, we thank you from the bottom of our heart.

CrossFit For Hope marks our third fundraiser event, after October 2012’s Amazing Grace, in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation, and Hope For Kenya this past March.

We are far from done. Ultimately, it is not the money that matters, but the fight – and as long as those less fortunate than us continue to fight, we, too, will soldier on with them.
